HOW IT WORKS

An alternating electrical current is passed through a coil or probe to generate an electromagnetic field.

When the probe is brought near a conductive material, electrical currents are induced within the component. Discontinuities or changes in material condition can alter the electromagnetic response, allowing relevant indications to be detected and evaluated.
